When it comes to desserts, simplicity can often yield the most delightful results. Our 3-Ingredient Apple Chocolate Mousse is a prime example. With just a handful of ingredients, including the rich, caramelized flavour of Gheedy-Up Ghee, you can create a luscious treat that’s as comforting as it is impressive.

This recipe is a twist on the viral apple chocolate mousse that’s been making waves online. Instead of boiling apples in water, we’ve elevated the flavour by sautéing them in Gheedy-Up Ghee, adding a layer of caramelized richness that’s impossible to resist.


Ingredients:

  • 5 apples (peeled and chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Gheedy-Up Ghee (buy here)
  • 1 cup of melted chocolate (choose your favourite!)
  • Sugar or sweetener (optional, to taste)
  • Chopped pistachios and walnuts for garnish (optional)

    Method:

    Prep the Apples:
    Begin by peeling and chopping the apples into small pieces. This will help them cook down evenly and quickly. 

    Sauté in Ghee:
    Heat 1 tablespoon of Gheedy-Up Ghee in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the apples and sauté gently until they soften, release their water, and turn jammy. If the pan gets too dry, add another tablespoon of ghee for extra richness.

    This step is a twist on the viral apple chocolate mousse recipe that typically calls for boiling the apples in water. By sautéing the apples in Gheedy-Up Ghee, we enhance the natural sweetness of the apples and add a layer of rich, buttery flavour.                 

    Melt the Chocolate:

    Blend it All Together:
    Transfer the sautéed apples and melted chocolate to a blender. If you prefer a sweeter mousse, add sugar or a sweetener of your choice. Blend until silky smooth.                       
    Portion and Chill:
    Pour the mousse into serving bowls or mini jars. Garnish with chopped pistachios and walnuts for a delightful crunch (optional). Refrigerate overnight for the best results or for at least 3-4 hours if you're in a hurry.
